As a self-employed personal trainer and group fitness instructor, I don’t have the luxury of using the flow of gym members to easily market to, like someone who is stationed at a fitness center or big box gym. I left that style and have pursued my dream outside of the gym. I found a local church with a big fellowship hall in their basement. It works wonderful! The space comes with a big sound system and a huge open area that I can accommodate 30 to 40 people!
The next step was figuring out how to get 30 or 40 people to come to my class! It’s easy to find the room, but to fill that space is where your marketing strategy needs to be on point! So it took about 3 years for me to figure out the secret! Don’t worry, what I’m about to share with you, should only take you 2 or 3 weeks to grow your numbers! If your classes are lacking in consistency, and you are able to fit more people, than you will want to pay attention to how I was able to grow my group class from 5 or 10 people, to over 20 every single class! Here are the steps I took to reach those numbers!

2. Promote your class and Text Service On Facebook

I would suggest writing a post on your Facebook PAGE specific to your business and then using ads manager to BOOST that post. Choose your target market and make sure to list instructions for how to sign up to receive text message notifications. You can also share a link to your website where potential members can input their number into a widget, this makes it a little easier for the customer.
3. Run Text To Win Contests
I personally have my class members text to join, for the chance to win a FREE class every class. The system automatically chooses a winner at the specified time.
